    What the...

Well, I guess the I-Pace is now in Iowa. I'm guessing this still belongs to the dealership based on the plate. If so, they're clearly trying to advertise it - this is the only SuperCharger in the metro and often attracts browsers as they head to the nearby grocery store. I'm okay with...

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

Lol and that thread is quickly devolving into this one...only over $2k instead of $5k. My favorite quote so far:

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

@tomas , @MXWing Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember early Model S vehicles that couldn't use Ludicrous mode due to the parts used. However, Tesla allowed those owners to upgrade their car for $2k or some such figure. Sorry for butchering the info, I'm too lazy to go look it up...

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

It's true. I can safely speak for most of the non-P+ owners when I say we really didn't want the spoiler, aluminum pedals and 20" tires - I personally just wanted those damn red calipers. That, coupled with lingering fears that this trim could be excluded from high-end upgrades like ludicrous...

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

If you have accepted delivery of your P3D, then there isn't one. Unfortunately for all of us, all 45+ pages of this thread amounts to little more than shoulder shrugs and venting. That doesn't mean there isn't a TON of speculation in here...but don't take anything you've read in here as gospel.

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

I've had FUSC since I received my P3D in August and my account still shows pay-per-use. I use SuperCharging weekly, however, and have never paid a cent, so I have just let it go.

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

    Hopefully they make a P3D- badge for @Msjulie. :)

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

Zero chance I'd allow a '$5k refund' field in any of my CRM instances. :) Fetching all P3D owners will be a matter for reporting or operations, not through some field in CRM that will be useless in months. Whenever someone on here is told by a rep they've been 'flagged' or 'marked' for...

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

But is that the situation? If so, why not lower P3D- *and* P3D+ by $5k instead of creating one trim? Unless production numbers are also a problem? In which case one trim would probably help alleviate that.

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

I hope the person you spoke to is right, but I suspect not - my call to this same number said the only confirmed candidates are those who have NOT received delivery of their P3D, and they're choosing between $5k off the price and FUSD. She did, however, remind me they work in a place where...

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

Nice try. Your analogy conveniently ignores the part where Tesla actually said, 'sorry, you don't need to pay for those parts after all'. Paint the whole picture if you're going act like we're being unreasonable.

    Performance Upgrade Price Change!

Until official word is sent to you via email or otherwise, assume anything you hear is anecdotal. @MXWing When I purchased my P3D I always operated under the assumption I could buy all of this stuff later if I really wanted any of it (you can buy calipers, spoiler, rims and tires directly from...

No offense, the current card/phone setup is utter *sugar*

I'm using the Note 9 - it won't work half the time unless I fully remove it from my back pocket and stand there for a minute, staring at my phone like I'm not just waiting for my damn car to unlock. Having said that, I'm more than open to the idea that the app/phone isn't optimally set up. I...

    Key Fob To The Rescue?

I wish. I'm so irritated by the credit card 'key' and nonstop un-pairing of my phone that I'd begrudgingly pay any reasonable price for it. Anyone know what a replacement fob costs for the S?

Any Performance owners regret not getting the perf upgrade package?

So what exactly should I be looking for when comparing the driving experience between the two?
  16. G

Any Performance owners regret not getting the perf upgrade package?

So I never had the opportunity to drive a P3D+ - I've only been told the ride is smoother with the 18", but naturally that comes at the cost of less handling thanks to the lowered suspension and wider tires. As it turns out, a user on this forum who lives in the DSM metro is actually picking up...

    AWD front motor sounds

Perhaps what I'm hearing in my P3D- is closer to what you hear with your Model S, because the noise is still subdued and never requires drowning it out with music. Regardless, good luck with the appointment - in addition to weighing in on whether or not it's considered an issue, hopefully you...

    AWD front motor sounds

Okay...so is this an issue with the engine - or an issue just for you? Meaning, does Tesla consider this standard (expected) noise, or are they willing to try and deal with it?

Any Performance owners regret not getting the perf upgrade package?

I've had my P3D for about 3 weeks now, so I'll weigh in based on that amount of time: 1) So glad I didn't get the 20" rims/tires - the roads around me are bad enough with the 18"s. 2) The red calipers are cool - I wish I had them, but assume they'll be available later (they ARE available for...

    AWD front motor sounds

I hear occasional noise and/or high-pitched beeps(?) from the front engine of my P3D. Honestly do they make AWD cars that don't make some kind of noise from the front though? Anecdotally, there's an older Model S that goes down my street and his front engine is way louder than mine. I guess I...

    Slacker radio credentials

I'm positive Tesla has no plans to cover bandwidth costs for people who want unlimited streaming at 320kb through Slacker. Do we suspect that would be offered to those who must pay for their bandwidth through the monthly sub?

Ludicrous Mode for P3D+ only or P3D- inclusive?

I have a P3D. It's crazy fast already - I doubt you could talk me into paying more to trim my 0 - 60 by another 0.5 - 0.7 seconds. I suspect there will be a time when almost all of the P3D+ parts will be available in the store: the rims/tires are available now, and I see the red calipers...

Ceramic Coated my PM3 and forgot about the spoiler/badge install. What to do?

I can see the follow-up now: 'But how will people know my car is the performance edition?' Personally speaking, if I feel like showing off, I find they get the hint when I go from 30 to 80mph in a couple seconds.

    Model 3 Diecast Model

The Kansas City shop did NOT have any more. I love my PM3 but was admittedly disappointed to not get the stupid little toy car. VIN 733XX

Ceramic Coated my PM3 and forgot about the spoiler/badge install. What to do?

I'm getting XPEL Ultimate on the front and Modesta BC-04 afterwards on my PM3 installed in September (literally only one guy in the metro who does ceramic or glass coatings). My Tesla mobile service advisor (I live in Iowa, so no centers) told me the detail shop can remove all badges and...

    Model 3 Fit and Finish

Agreed, roast this post. I got my M3P last week and voiced concerns about two very minor panel gap issues. They assigned the problems to their mobile repair squad (I live in Iowa) and they scheduled to come to me and fix them immediately. So yeah - I don't believe anything about the OP's...

    Model 3 VIN

That part was nice - the part where they were $300 more than Progressive was not. Now I have policies across two insurance companies. :(

    Model 3 VIN

My Home Delivery Specialist provided me the VIN before I even had a solid delivery date. I suspect there are situations where they haven't actually selected the car designated to be yours, which is why the VINs take longer for some rather than others.

    Let's talk financing rates

I can't speak for all those rates above, but here's my loan details from Financial Plus Credit Union in Iowa (NOT the same FPCU acronym used above): -66 months, 2.24% apr -hard requirement: 780 minimum credit score I selected cash payment to Tesla. Once I had my VIN and proof of insurance, the...

No car/VIN but can log into app

At the risk of fanning flames, I also got my referral code via e-mail, along with telling me I have unlimited supercharging (I ordered P3D). I too am now allowed in the Tesla app. But I also received an e-mail from a delivery rep confirming my settings. Make sure you're looking for an e-mail...

    Let's talk financing rates

In Iowa, I went through Financial Plus Credit Union: www.financialpluscu.com/ Currently 36 - 66 months for 2.24% - the only string is to open/maintain an account for 10 days - no upfront fees or account fees. Honestly, I got tired of looking for 1.99 beyond 36 months without fees. When I...

    Performance Package on Performance Model

I eventually pulled the trigger on the Performance Edition in red. I agree with your every sentiment...and yet, I kept going back to the same points: Autopilot can be purchased later Performance rims/tires can be purchased later I'm virtually guaranteed delivery no later than Q3/Q4 Other...

    Performance Package on Performance Model

I've got to keep this car in the $60k range, so I'm going to have to choose between Performance Package vs. AWD + Autopilot. To make matters worse, I've got to get this pre-ordered by tomorrow to take advantage of the Premium Connectivity. I'm having a very difficult time justifying the $11k...
