LR, RWD. I called on yesterday to ask if I had a VIN assigned and they were able to tell me that yes I do have one assigned, but they couldn't give it to me.

They are. They may be busy so the automated system may tell you to call back later. First thing I would check is to see if you are still able to edit your configuration on the Tesla site. If the edit button is gone, the chances are likely you have a VIN assigned.
