Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

Not necessarily. There are different types of Autoflex paint, mine was candy glossy finish with about 12 to 14 coats to achieve a very specific depth, color and vibrance. If you pick a vanilla dip paint, then most probably you can just paint the panel that got damaged. With custom combinations...

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

I had a minor fender bender situation and my Autoflex paint shop said they have to repaint the whole body and not just the panel. The original dip was holding solid like it was brand new, even after 4 years. This is the third time I'm doing a full body Autoflex and absolutely love the quality...

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

Haven't posted here for a long time now, sorry to see few of you weren't able to get Autoflex in NorCal, hopefully it is available now. Btw, I just updated my M3 Performance with a new Autoflex paint (Root Beer Candy), kept the two tone look.

Model 3 OEM Performance Matte Carbon Fiber Trunk Spoiler for sale

Had my Model 3 OEM Performance trunk spoiler for the past 3 years, took it out recently and replaced it with an aftermarket glossy one. Spoiler does not have any damage or issues. Just needs a 3M double sided tape and is good to go. Prefer local pick up for $225, but willing to ship at buyers...

Performance Model 3 with 21" or 22" wheels?

Thanks, the Fitment calculator does seem to give some general info on the wheel's proximity to the suspension strut etc. Having said that it is just theory and I want to know if anyone has managed to install larger diameter rims. For instance when I was shopping for tires and wheels, I was...

Performance Model 3 with 21" or 22" wheels?

Does anyone have 21" or 22" wheels on a Model 3 performance? Or have you atleast thought about it? I like my aftermarket Vossen 20" wheels, but there is still a gap between the wheels and the bumper and I dont want to lower the suspension further as it is low enough for me to get in and get...

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

It feels exactly like a paint, because it is paint :) It it amazing how resilient it is to rock chips and other environment conditions, I trust this lot more than OEM paint, now that I have it on two cars and have seen it first hand driven more than 15,000 miles.

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

Lol, I go there almost everyday to work out at Golds gym, food, shopping etc. was there early am today. I was out on a international travel last week, but starting from today you should spot a Burgundy Model 3 :)

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

Thanks. I actually preordered MPP Coilovers and had to cancel, as it was already low enough for me to get in and out, was used to driving BMW X5 :). The ride quality is really good, including cornering and hence decided to leave as is

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

Glad you like the finish and outcome. Yes, it does look very close to the signature Red paint, especially in sunlight.

PPF & Vinyl Pros and Cons

Rather than spending $$$ on PPF, take a look into Autoflex paint. It is not a vinyl wrap, but a "peelable" paint that can be easily peeled off anytime down the line, but at the same time protects your OEM paint and most importantly is resistant to rock chips, weather conditions and the finish...

    Vorsteiner 20" Wheels

Congrats, wheels look great on M3. I wanted to initially go with Vorsteiner as well but then went with Vossen VFS1 as I was waiting for ever to get the Vorsteiners. Yes, 285 is the way to go, I would have gone wider if it were feasible. I have 245 at the front and 285 at the rear. Have you...

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

I would look at the Energy consumption graph at both "Instant Range" and "Average range" (for 30 miles) tabs, take the least value of both and subtract another 15 to 20% from that value. So if your battery is showing 85 miles range left, lets assume your energy graph would be showing 75 miles...

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

220 is on the low end, but 250 sounds about right. Again your Wh/mil will tell if you will be getting the lower end or the higher. Definitely supercharge it few times from 10% all the way to 100% and wait for BMS to calibrate. My first run after charging to 100% after break in was around 250...

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

It is not OEM, a two tone Autoflex candy paint. Dont want to hijack this thread, but you can find more here here Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3 Btw, multiple people have said the paint looks very close to Signature Red.

Performance not getting 310 miles promised

I had a very similar experience during my first couple of charges with terrible range on the P3D, but since then I have charged all the way to 100% and used it until the battery came down to 10% or so and I have seen improvement in the range. I have tracked this only once now and in that...

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

Yes with autoflex pearls, candies and concentrated juices you have more than 40,000 color combinations. I would be quite surprised if you cannot find a single dealer in the entire state. Did a quick search and found these guys, about an hour from you (no idea how good or bad they are) Plasti...

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

I hope so too. There is a good chance I might buy Model Y next year but will only buy a solid black and get it autoflexed. Even if they release a burgundy finish I will not go for it :), because for almost the same price (or a little extra) I can not only get the color choice I want via...

Your autoflex pictures looks great with the matte and satin finish. Autoflex is certainly a cool invention.

It does standout in real. I was thinking the same about brake calipers, they would look better in a lighter paint (like gold or yellow).

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

When I took it to the Tesla service center, they said the same thing that it looks close to the Signature red but better. The depth IRL is actually better than in pictures, especially in sunlight the color just pops. However the color looks darker in person compared to the pictures.

What's the ideal wheel size you want for your Model 3

If you are looking for forged wheels and light weight, there are quite a few available in market. Vossen, Vorsteiner etc I have 20" Vossen VFS1 wheels on mine with a staggered setup; 9" wheels at front and 10.5" rear wheels. Not for efficiency at all :), the ride on the other hand is what I...

Real world range of Performance model?

Real world range of Performance model?

I noticed the same when I first drove my P3D, it is getting better now. If you have not charged all the way to 100%, I would recommend doing that doing. The BMS (Battery Management System) will slowly start learning and understanding your overall battery capacity. I have so far charged to 100%...

    Possible battery issue?

I would never rely on the battery range that displays the number of miles remaining. Always use the Energy consumption meter which is much more accurate depicting the current driving conditions, you can also toggle between a 30 mile average and current driving condition. I learned it during my...

Two tone Burgundy/Black Autoflex paint on Model3

Yes similar and can be peeled off, just that Autoflex is of professional grade and plastidip is not. Autoflex is definitely a great alternative since when it started to get popular couple of years back, got it done on my BMW and had it for a year, so I know it is very durable and holds the...
