None of that tracking ever worked for me. I have like 3 confirmations my car is sitting at Mt. Kisco for a Friday pickup. So many crazy stories coming out of this delivery center. Hoping selfishly it all works out and I can get this overwith.

Don't be shocked, California is the only state Tesla knows how to deliver to. Closer the factory the better for them. Waiting to solve tough logistics issues another day.

I'm at VIN 94XXX myself with arrival to dealership on the east coast on 11/2 (but can't pick up until later, they can't be ready). Seems like a lot of us are in the same VIN range. I do know my car is built. If you are familiar with the model S or X journey map VINs are assigned prior to production.

My car is scheduled to arrive in Mt. Kisco on 11/2 which has pushed me collection date into the next week. Car is produced and waiting for transit or in transit.

At least there is a place to tell the truth about this. They did this to a lot of people. Best idea is to sit at that dealer and insist they steal a car from someone else. That's why you don't have your car and at this point those that are aggressive will get cars and the passive people will not.

They "stole" cars from people that had delivery commitments. Out of pure panic and lack of integrity. Just shuffled cars to "squeaky wheels" and people that just showed up, etc.

That's a huge problem. Call the "dealership" you are scheduled to pickup the car. I would predict 99% chance you will be cancelled.

How will you register and get plated in NY without an insurance card with the VIN on it? When I picked up my last car, last minute on a Saturday afternoon, I had to get a valid insurance card before driving off.

Worst case just call Esurance or someone like that and get a card electronically. You will have to pay for a month or three then next week your agent can cancel the Esurance and shuffling things around for you. I would proceed with extreme caution. We wanted to pick up cars in Cleveland but never got a straight answer about the NYS $2000 credit.

No. Once you make payment you are the owner. Transport is a non-involved 3rd party, just the delivery mechanism. Any issues with the vehicle are between you and Tesla after delivery. No pre-inspection before payment is possible in this scenario.

I just got a call today from Tesla to confirm a Mt. Kisco delivery for 9/28 which has been set for a couple of weeks. And I’m not making this up: I was told the car isn’t built yet and only takes 48 hour of travel by rail from the factory to Mt. Kisco. Staying open to possibilities.

My friends car is on the lot at Mt. Kisco NY. Hopefully it will pass inspection and he can pick it up this weekend. He was a day 1 line waiter in Cleveland who configured 6-30-18 and changed to white seats soon after they were available.
