Yes it looks like that EXCEPT there is a 5th red wire, which is lighter gauge then the rest.

TEG is of course 100% correct. There is no chance of shock as long as nothing is plugged into the 120V-240V adapter, but as soon as you plug ANYTHING into it then you have a completed circuit which represents a hazard. Even if the EV isn't charging, the pilot generator completes the circuit...

That's the point! The +/-12V swing on the pilot signal exists PURELY for safety. It is the mechanism by which the charging station can discriminate between a connection to an actual EV vs. the charging plug sitting in a mud puddle or having a kid stick a paper clip in it. If they aren't...

I am the other owner Tom was referring to. I put an O-Scope on the pilot signal and discovered that the Shorepower Stations (in Spokane at least) only swing the pilot signal from 0 to +12V. The -12V swing is not there!!! Since the -12V swing is really the integral part of the safety system...

The ones in Spokane look like the picture of the Shorepower tower, only they have a J1772 on the right and the level 1 on the left. At any rate, has anyone tried charging from a J1772 plug on one of these?
