Mailing addresses aren't indicative of city limits. There's a whole swath of Houston in Ft. Bend County with 32,000-some-odd population with a Missouri City mailing address just because the Mo. City Post Office is closer. Blue Ridge, Houston - Wikipedia

    Supercharger- Richmond, TX

No, it's the SW Freeway at the current moment, and even further south if you consider the fact that Greatwood and Royal Lake Estates are both in Sugar Land's ETJ. I think Tara is, too, even though it's known to be a less desirable subdivision. READ: little bit ghettto The sales tax from SW...

It's also actually in SL city limits. That's pretty clear.

    +1 Completely agree.

By the way, I don't think this Supercharger is actually in Richmond. The Rudy's is from my understanding actually in Sugar Land city limits. Supercharge.info should correct this.

Wasn't the Sugar Land Supercharger reported as supposed to be at Whole Foods? I could be wrong, though.

Imgur That's strange. I never saw anyone park a 4 wheeler like that before the Superchargers were there.

Iraan is a nice little town. As I've stated before, they actually tried to snag the Supercharger location when the Fort Stockton one was still in limbo. Wind energy is big there.

It's a free regular L2 charger. Something just to hold you over until you reach Ozona. It's just a stopgap solution.

When using the Supercharger (when it opens), I suggest trying to use the leftmost spot to prevent that.

    Supercharger - Fort Stockton, Texas

I've noticed that motorcoaches and pickup trucks with trailers have already made a habit of parking in that area, generally taking up the 3 leftmost spots.

Haven't taken any pics recently but looking at it appears done. They spent all of yesterday putting the ground back in it's original condition. There is a bed of rocks around the Superchargers which they put back together. Structurally, it appears complete but don't know about functionally.

Charging stalls are being put into place. I saw them put in the 4th one as I was driving by. I will try to take pics sometime later on tonight when I get a chance. It's coming along pretty good.

Yeah, for this particular Flying J they get their gas from Western Refining in El Paso. That crud e is from a pipeline from Midland to El Pass.

Another consequence of the oil boom and population growth of the area. Oil demand is high here with folks driving long distances in Ford F-150s. Also I think the fuel is trucked in a relatively far distance.

    Supercharger - Fort Stockton, Texas

I want to reiterate for the folks who were concerned about the security of the work site. The Flying J parking lot has security cameras and Ft. Stockton is the kind of town where cops desperately look for stuff to do.

Also, the overall culture of West Texas is way more laid back and mellow in comparison to the major metros out east. If this was somewhere in Southwest Houston, oh hell yeah, it would get messed with. It's a much slower vibe in the West and I'd like to think Ft. Stockton folk are better than...

While this is an oilfield town, I don't think people are that f--ked up about it to where they would resort to vandalizing the electrical equipment.

If they aren't there by around 10:45 PM, I will try to get better and closer photos, but as you can see they are still working very hard as of 30 minutes ago with no signs of stopping.

As one could gather from the pictures provided, it's after nightfall and to say the work crew is busting their ass is an understatement. They are chugging down whole cups of Flying J coffee, one right after the other.

Electrical cabinets are being placed right now. The site is still a huge mess.

It has been speculated on this thread that the Pecos Supercharger is next. I wouldn't be surprised at all.

They are shooting for this Friday the 14th for completion of the Fort Stockton Supercharger. I got that from the manager of the Flying J Troy Sayre.

I was under the impression that Pilot/Flying J locations are primarily corporate owned.
  46. G

    Supercharger - Fort Stockton, Texas

There's actually a lot of construction work going on today. Because they are working on the underground electrical connection going under the driveway leading to the 4-wheeler parking lot/fuel facility, it's a little bit of a chore to pull into the Flying J right now. They are definitely working...
