It’s a safety issue. You roll it out to small amount of cars and look at logs to make sure failures don’t start happening. If autopilot take overs start spiking on that version they can stop the rollout and figure out why autopilot regressed. If the update bricks cars they can stop the rollout...

You should be able to override by continuing to turn the direction you want to go right? I can't believe the system would physically prevent you from doing what you want to do.

They push at certain times I’ve noticed. I think the last 200 have been holdovers from yesterday’s big push. I’d expect another push this afternoon unless they found some bug (I hope not). I’m stuck without autopilot and I’m hoping 16.2 will fix it, as I can’t get a service appointment until 27th.

Yeah the original comment I was replying to was talking about visualizing dirt and in order to do that the car would be able to see the dirt via camera. I was just explaining there was no camera to do that.

At night it shows stars if that’s what you’re seeing.

Unless they activated the interior cabin camera there are no cameras that would have that vantage point

This is awesome. Can’t wait to try it, the wipers have been getting better but sometimes very dangerous in my opinion.

New boxes appeared. The Superchargers look like they are still being worked on. They don’t charge and the mesh pieces are still on many of the chargers.

I checked the supercharger Monday. Fence down, construction equipment still around. Chargers were not active and had the mesh wrap around the connectors as pictured in the last update post. I'm in DC now, but if another update post doesn't go up I'll swing by when I am back home (after hurricane).
