Model S Front Bumper Refresh Instructions

Sorry for the late reply. The V1 aero shield does not fit the V2 bumper. You have to buy the V2 aeroshield for the bottom.

You just go to the EPC site... find the refresh part numbers, and then open your Tesla Mobile App and request "Other" service and list the part numbers you want to order. Generally, they won't ask questions since they received your order through the app. They may ask because it's the wrong...

Yes, the gap filler is the very last thing to install. I recommend to everyone to wait and finish the refresh and then contact me if they need one.

    Cherry Blossoms at Knoxville Supercharger

We stopped on Knoxville supercharger during our trip home from spring break and the cherry blossoms had bloomed! Also, hands down Knoxville supercharger is in one of the best locations I’ve ever seen. The shopping center has everything. I’m kind of jealous...

    2014 P85 Gets a 2017 facelift using OEM parts

Yes, I recommend buying a used bumper and having it repaired and painted to match. Much cheaper than buying new. I don't have any experience with the X parts on the S. I just sell the gap filler until someone finds a better solution. I think most people have been happy with my part. It's...

The old louvres don't fit the new bumper. You have to either 1) cut new bumper to fit or 2) buy new version of the louvres

I was just responding to what Rayminster was saying: You don't "have to go the full way". It's personal preference. It might bother a few people, but I think it looks totally fine. Especially if you shorten the T badge so it doesn't stick out so far past the hood.

Model S Front Bumper Refresh Instructions

Thanks so much for the post! You've by far made the best video of the process. I didn't have the guts to cut my bumper, so I bought the new louvres which are a direct fit. Anyone scared to cut the bumper and mess it up, just buy the new louvres which are plug and play. One thing you didn't...

I ran into the same issue. It still fits but it's a very tight fit. There may be a few people who have an inch too short. If someone could come up with a cable extender with the same connectors... I'd be willing to pay money for it. Maybe $50 a set of extenders or something like that...

What we did is cut the T-badge across the screw holes and then drilled new screw holes or use self tapping screws. It looks much better that way.

Even though I make the gap filler part for the OEM install, I still encourage everyone who asks to go with the UP bumper refresh if they can afford it. It looks better and you get service and support. For everyone else who absolutely just HAS to have OEM, I offer an alternative, but know that it...

There is a gap, but if you trim the T-badge it looks pretty good. Take a look at this post from member Wratran:

That’s so annoying. I wonder if they started implementing a new policy. My SC never gave me any trouble. If you can find a parts guy in your SC, you can try emailing them the parts list and see if they will order it for you. Often the parts guys can get around rather than the service reps.

That won't work because the screw holes are directly on top of the plastic and screw downward into the T-badge. The hood closes snugly on top of the gap so it's all sealed up. One thing you could do, however, is to tie a string to the latch and run the string down to the lower bumper grill or...
