Tesla Vision coming to radar-equipped cars on 2022.24.6

For those with vision only, have you driven on two lane roads with speed limits in the 60 mph range at night? When I was in the FSD beta that was where I saw the biggest problem. My car would brake at every oncoming headlight. I couldn't use TACC or autopilot at night on our rural roads. I loved...

Tesla Waze no longer works in browser

In the past I could get weather as an overlay on teslawaze. Did that go away completely, or is there something I could do to get that part working?

Driver's seat thigh support too high.

Yes, if there were an option to change to different seats, I would. I added cushioning in the center well and that helps some, but after a year and a half, these are the most uncomfortable seats I've had in a car. The addition of the cushion has been a big help.

MASTER THREAD: all Smart Summon-related posts go here

I have the same problem at my office. It shows it pointing the wrong way and it turns the opposite direction due to this. I'll have to try the dumb summon to see if that helps correct it. First I tried it using the summon to location as opposed to come to me. But for both it had the car pointing...

    Cheaper trunk frunk/frunk mat options?

I bought one of these waterproof blankets and sewed velcro pieces at each corner and in the middle of each side. It's waterproof and extends up the back of the seats and partway up each side of the trunk. Not pretty, but when I spill something on it I just take it out and throw it in the washer...

Too much back sweat, seat cover question

I got one of these, and it is a bit thicker than I expected, but I was able to adjust my seat. I used all the attachments and it stays secure in the seat. I've had the problem that the seat hurts my left leg, and this helps with that, along with not feeling so hot in Texas weather. I was...

Well, I do have 3d Maxpiders, but figured there were tons of posts on those.;)

    Windshield Replacement Experiences

Window went in last week. And I checked the dates. Actually they called on Tues and replaced on Monday morning (their first available appointment). When I spoke to Safelite on Thurs, June 6 they said less than a week to get in the windshield. I was really nervous after reading the boards, but...

    Windshield Replacement Experiences

In Texas and called Safelite on a Thurs. They ordered the glass and had it in by the following Tues and we scheduled for the following Friday. They wouldn't replace off site, but I showed up and two hours later they were finished. It might have taken longer if I'd have gone through insurance...

    Must have Tesla 3 Accessories

It fit ok squishing it in. I stopped moving the seat on easy entry. Mostly because I had to wait for the seat to move forward, and it wasn't easier, really, to get in with it back, but it also would dislodge the drop stop and messed a bit with my cushion arrangement. Maybe I moved the seat back...

    Must have Tesla 3 Accessories

Magnetic motion lights. One in trunk and one behind screen pointing at console to see when plugging in iphone at night. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074MYLZD8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Key card holder. Rubber. The metal one that I liked caused interference...

    Removing Phone Tray Question

I had that rattle and put a piece of self-stick tacky rubber I had laying around between the tray and the plastic toward the top. A piece of self stick foam or felt would probably work the same. Now there's a bit more tension when I open the console that lips over it, but no more rattle.

How to remove bed / trunk liner in Model 3

I bought one of those flexible carrying tubs at the dollar store and keep that in the lower trunk. I keep my cleaning supplies in it and use it for milk jugs or anything else liquid that I worry would spill. It has higher sides and helps hold things upright if I pack my cleaning rags around stuff.

Ever tried sleeping in your Model 3?

I was comfortable sleeping in back with a couple of comforters and not making any changes to the back seats. There is an incline without the seat cushion removed, but it didn't bother me.

How are people applying enough force in NOA steering?

I have found a (mostly) comfortable way to hold the wheel at 4/5 o' clock that gives just a little downward torque and keeps it happy so no more nagging. The scroll wheel worked for me, but was more distracting. 7 o' clock also works, but my left arm has some torn muscles and that grip...

Model 3 seats with lower back problems - others having discomfort?

The solid blue was 1/4 insulation foam, the other was 4" thick upholstery foam. It compresses, but not as much as you'd think.

Model 3 seats with lower back problems - others having discomfort?

Driver seat: metal bar in the middle is pushing after just 1 month I saw this post to see how the seat looked. I went to an upholstery shop and got a bid of $150, but they didn't instill confidence on how they'd handle the seat sensor and taking out the seat to do the work. Unplugging the...

Model 3 seats with lower back problems - others having discomfort?

I had this and put more foam in the seat to bring the center up to the height of the side bars. It's better, but now I have minimal bolsters for cornering. I put the foam between the current foam and the springs underneath. Because of the seat sensor and heating cables, I had to add it in...

    Seat (dis)comfort after 5,000 miles

I had been uncomfortable (150 lbs, but female, so thighs), so I just worked on my seats over the weekend. I was able to unhook from the back, the cover and then the seat material and pull it and the cushion forward to have access between the cushion and the springs. The seat heater cord limited...

SOLVED: interior back seat buzz/rattle while driving and listening to bass

@krizzle, I have not found it. I did try the sound generator very loud, but never got a vibration going. I think my problem is more metal on metal when it's cold. Maybe a rivet missing. I'm waiting for time to have someone in the back seat when it's cold listening to pinpoint it. I recorded it...

Locking Phone in Car - Or Not

Mine locked in my car, but I daily leave it in the car and it had never locked. One time we were taking out groceries and came back out and it had locked. I had not used the fob or card to drive home, and I had not changed the BT on the phone. I wouldn't trust it to always do one thing or...

PSA: shop around for the best insurance rates

MarkBrokeIt That's the way the lady on the phone explained it to me. When I go look at the policy now, the only difference I see is our deductibles have a $1 extra, like $1001 and $501. I did remove a vehicle that was $50 extra every 6 months, but that shouldn't cause that much difference. She...

PSA: shop around for the best insurance rates

I had the same issue with Geico and shopped around. Then I called Geico and asked if they could give me a better rate. They said they could try a different 'formula' to calculate our rates, and came back at $700 less for the 6 months than we were currently paying. I still might switch because...

SOLVED: interior back seat buzz/rattle while driving and listening to bass

Thanks. I'll be checking on that this weekend. Not sure it's the same buzz, but I love the idea of using the tone generator to get it to work without hitting the bumps.

    Center console storage organizer ideas?

I keep my collapsible umbrella and small first aid kit in there.
