FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I checked with my wife and she said she never got the FSDS agreement page either. She did have autopilot before 12.3.3. She recognized it as FSD because of the blue snake instead of two blue lines of autopilot. Interestingly, she likes it where as she hated it before 12.3.3. Regardless, seems...

Powerwall Companion - updated Windows app

I can't get the IP and password to work but I can't seem to confirm credentials through the browser anyway. I get a Tesla Energy page and the following text: Switch to Tesla One for a better commissioning experience The current experience is no longer supported

Towed boat from RI to FL & Back

Did navigation estimate mileage correctly and/or suggest appropriate next supercharger? Did you have a custom hitch or Tesla's hitch? I'm not familiar but does Y have a trailer mode? How does it compare to your Subaru road trip?

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

True, but it is more nuanced than that. If FSD or any other ADAS system removes or degrades a "safety" feature, then it is subject to a recall. FSD was dinged before when an update failed to aggressively cut speed for a reduced speed zone as a previous version did. I suspect V12 will also be...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I wish I saved the video because it felt much more than that. The emergency vehicle was moving slow but it did have to go around vehicles into oncoming traffic. But that was also slow because of heavy traffic. In fact it was so long that the signal turned red. If I had loud music playing I...

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

I had an successful event yesterday with V12.3 2023.44.30.25 that I'm not sure anyone else has experienced. I was first in the left turn lane waiting for the arrow to change from red to green. It turned green and almost immediately I heard a siren. I then saw an EMT vehicle approaching from the...

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

You would know better as I'm still waiting for my V12. Following the plethora of videos it looked like no more examples of non parallel parking with adjacent vehicles. Thus my speculation.

    Elon: FSD Beta tweets

I believe v12.3 removed parking at destination because of the fender bender with a v12.1 mishap.

    Tesla Home Wireless Charger

Big question here. Is this AC level 2 or DC? What amperage or Kw? Or more simply put, if Cybertruck, how many miles per hour possible. Can we tell from the type of connector? Is this strictly home and destination charging?

FSD v12.x (end to end AI)

My spouses biggest complaint with V11 was its failure to properly signal its intentions. It often signalled too late or not at all which are both violations in our state.

Electric vehicles release more toxic emissions, are worse for the environment than gas-powered cars: study

Rehash of a 2019 "study" if you follow the links all the way through. Someone debunked it back then by calculating how many miles an EV tire could get to create such emissions.

Burning 25ft 10/3 cords using my mobile connector in the rain with a 120v outside GFCI outlet

Have an electrician add a outlet close enough so the charging cables reach without an extension cord. The simple reality is it is unsafe to use an extension cord to charge an electric vehicle.

DQOTD: Has Anyone Worn Out/Replaced a Tesla Mobile Connector?

The one that came with my 2018 Model 3 was replaced under warranty because the NACS connector was "fried." The port on the car was also replaced. Oddly it would charge fine but would never enter sleep mode when fully charged and plugged in.

    First Powershare home installation

Can the Cybertruck charge the Powerwall? I can imagine a case where it has to shuttle back and forth to a supercharger or other power source to keep home powered. And it sounds like a dead Powerwall is critical to avoid a dark state.
  40. DBeckwith

    First Powershare home installation

Good point. I just find it hard to believe the Universal Wall Connector needs communication wires to the 3 V Gateway, but the v2 Wall Connector does not to any of the Powerwall gateways. It must have something to do with how it handles the neutral.
  41. DBeckwith

How much should the HOA charge? (I'm the HOA president)

I wish they would suggest spending more to locate charging spots further from building to avoid ICEing. I personally know of several cases where ignoring this results in failure.
  42. DBeckwith

    First Powershare home installation

I tend to doubt version 2 of the Tesla Wall Connector will work bidirectional without the communication wires. Version 3 should work because it can communicate direction through WiFi. Thus the claim version 2 supports V2H requires an asterisk IMHO.

    First Powershare home installation
