Alarm when regen braking limited - new feature?

Is the missing bolt important?
Anybody know what the bolt about 2 inches in front of the front jacking point under the car up inside the little compartment is for? There is a little plastic cover 1.5 x 1.5 inches that opens by swinging down to access the compartment. I noticed the little door was open this morning when...
