It is all political. I’m not an advocate for either side. Since the EV tax credit is bundled in other items, it is not clean. Maybe just pass each one separately. Let each BBB item stand on its own.

Yes, that could very well be the expectation. Right now someone else will take the car, they don’t have a demand issue, even with BBB bill up in the air.

I was referencing 2021 deliveries I was not clear in my statement, my apologies. I still suspect Austin to start pushing out cars quickly sometime in the first quarter of 2022. It seems like it is a few weeks behind Berlin, so we will know based on what happens at that site.

I have to believe the last east coast shipments have been sent and now we will mostly see west of the Mississippi deliveries. I just hope the new batteries offer more range.

I ordered just before you, without the 20” wheels. Mine was always June until a few days ago. It’s now March 19 to April 16. Makes sense for Fremont to retool once Austin comes online. I prefer the retooled MY.

That is very possible. I’m good with being pushed back if it is coming from Austin and all the new planned updates. I have MSM on my M3 and love the color. But took white on the MY so we have different colors.

Oh well. I’ll just have to deal with it.

The bill was drafted in the summer, with the expectation it would be complete by end of year. I agree with whoever said it depends on the language they add if it is retro active if/when signed sometime in 2022. I think we will know more once revisions are sent back.

The current language states it is effective 1/1/2022 or later if passed later. It is not retro active. The House will need to approve the senate updates and right now immigration might get cut bc it may not be legal to be part of the budget reconciliation. Tesla needs to run a business, and...

Yes, the tow option is through Tesla. I plan on using it for bikes, not to pull anything. I don’t want a room rack for bikes.

I think I’m switching my config to match yours. I don’t need it now so my estimated June timeframe is fine.

We haven’t started taxing social security yet. I’ll worry about that as I get closer. If there is anything there to worry about. 😂

I would put it toward the EV charging infrastructure. I used the Tesla superchargers from Chicago to Los Angles and there are some really rough areas that could use more. And that with a car with 300 miles of range.

I’m not sure what vehicles are out there since the Bolt production has stopped. Hybrids don’t make sense to me since you still have an ICE to maintain plus a battery. But as a Tesla shareholder it’s good news if it passes.

That’s my approach as well.

I think the bill in its current form will not pass. The bill seems to be slanted for the wealthy, which seems crazy for what the dems have stood for. Time will tell.

There are no guarantees the tax credit will be there January 1st. Plus Tesla is likely starting to get pissed off about delayed orders. My guess is you will have the order cancelled or go to the back of the line. Not a big deal for M3, likely just for the MY.

The House bill is NOT retroactive in its current form. The Senate bill was left for dead. Anything can happen but it is doubtful it will pass in its current form and may drag out. I’m sure Tesla is closely watching as they have shareholders to answer to, not us.

I am 3 years into my M3, it is still so fun to drive.

I am intrigued with the ID 4 and Mach e, and really want the Macan EV in 2023/2024. In the mean time, I’m sticking with Tesla even though I rarely use the superchargers
