Time to replace upper-control arm ball joints

Seems the quality and honesty of the Tesla service shops vary just like any other shop. I’m 68k they want to charge me $600 for the two control arms not willing to do anything for me and i already paid them $600 for the lower control assembly. I’m going to try and grease it as suggested. It’s...

I tried it. Super uncomfortable maybe ok for a night but not beyond it. I sent it back. The topper takes up more space but is comfortable and a third of the cost.

12,305 miles over 7 weeks - Road Trip

I didn't remove the rear bench that was another user PNWLegacy earlier in the thread so you might want to ask them. I just folded the seats down and yes there is a slight incline but it wasn't a problem for me with the 4" foam mattress. I will say I made sure that I didn't park on a hill or if...

12,305 miles over 7 weeks - Road Trip

I didn't have any issues. Certainly as you know this thing changes week to week and I heard like two weeks ago that Connecticut was starting to enforce the 14 day quarantine with fines. I just can't really see that impacting you. Every state is different so you just kind of have to be alert...

12,305 miles over 7 weeks - Road Trip

oh that stinks I didn't know they were doing that now. Definitely grab the 14-50 and then there's an adapter for that if you really want to be able to use the other RV type but like i said I never needed to.

I agree! Also you should be able to control everything from your phone so you don't have to reach up and shut the movie off, turn off the screen, adjust the sound, etc. Also if I remember right controlling the temp from your phone screws up camp mode. It's better then any other car out there...

12,305 miles over 7 weeks - Road Trip

yea I entered by the rest stop and hit 100+ at one point and did a little drifting. There was only like 3 other cars out there and it was pretty wide open. The raceway was closed though with signs all over. I was really careful to drive around and walk the area before I tried the silly stuff...

None whatsoever so I'm not sure why the results and I don't know if that includes at rest. I can't imagine it would. I will tell you that doing 135MPH through west TX didn't help the efficiency :)

@jnhashmi I think this will answer your question as well. I didn't find sleeping that much out of wack. I definitely noticed it but it wasn't an issue with the 4" memory foam.

12,305 miles over 7 weeks - Road Trip

no issues although I have to admit there is one or two mountain treks during the long drive days I might have taken but had to stick to the highway to hit the chargers on the way. Always RV parks though if you get stuck or have a tough rural route

wow I'd love to see a picture of that if you have it. Honestly I didn't find it that bad. Maybe due to the 4" memory foam.

12,305 miles over 7 weeks - Road Trip

Yea I hear you. I have an 8 and 9 year old so all 4 of us took the trek through the smokies, Louisianna, and to Austin where my family is. Then they flew home I did all the parks out west by myself(cheaper and easier since I could car camp), then they flew out to Denver and did the last 7-10...

This is awesome thanks for sharing. I love the idea of one post for all the road trips but don't see one for M3. Maybe I'll kick one off. I wish there was some more flexibility in this forum in terms of sticky posts and such.

I can't figure out how to edit the original post or even make a post a sticky at the top. If anyone knows let me know. Here's a general idea of the route although I really played this one by ear day-day so it's not exactly as planned. Josh's Journey on Roadtrippers I did a lot more in...

12,305 miles over 7 weeks - Road Trip

That's Bonneville Salt Flats. Definitely check it out but be careful I passed a toyota 4runner buried up to it's wheel wells and the tow/ticket if you get stuck is not cheap! I hit a really dry spot to take mine out which probably still wasn't the best idea but it was a ton of fun! She got a...

That's up in Glacier National at the top of Avalanche Trail which was my favorite park although Zion was a close second. I hit like 20+ national and state parks throughout the journey. 18", at leas they were they came back so bald I think they're like 17" now :) This is the chair. I love it...

12,305 miles over 7 weeks - Road Trip

Was laid off in April so decided to take a road trip while I had the time and the space and thought it might be of interest. I have a 2018 Tesla Model 3 and now after the trip it's about to cross 40k miles. I'm not a big participant on here but I did appreciate some of the threads on...

Thoughts on Tesmat camping mattress for Model 3

So after a night on Tesmat I decided really quickly that it just wasn't good enough for any extended period. I was pretty sore after the first night and I do hiking/camping every year as well as a lot of overnight fishing trips so I'm used to sleeping rough. Granted I was sleeping with my 9...

Thoughts on Tesmat camping mattress for Model 3

I'm going to play it as I go but I've considered a gym membership like Planet Fitness and also just staying at campgrounds. I had a membership to the YMCA which is another way to go but I cancelled it when Covid started

Thoughts on Tesmat camping mattress for Model 3

Thanks guys for the thoughts. I did verify I could return it so I'm going to try it out. Doing a month long 10,000 mile trip in my 3 starting in a couple weeks with a majority car camping. If I stick with the Tesmat I'll give you a good long trip review!

Thoughts on Tesmat camping mattress for Model 3

Hey all I'm planning a cross country road trip for June now that the parks are opening back up. Found a ton of options for the bed but and was looking at tesmat but two things concern me. First a questionable return policy Refund policy (says if used can't return does that mean I can't try it...
