    Not re-assured...

My Dec 2014 MS has aged really well. Feels solid and I’ve taken trim off and refitted and it goes together well. Very few rattles and squeaks. Not like for like comparison but hope it provides some reassurance that a well looked after car will age well.

New owner of model 3 - purchase experience

Can’t wait to buy one privately in a few years ;) A red P+ to replace my 85MS when I no longer need the space. Enjoy the car, they look awesome.

    Basic M3 vs P90DL

Depreciation on the S will be a lot less than on the M3. If he is getting £40k trade in expect Tesla to sell it for £50k so make him an offer?

    Autopilot question on lane position.

Is this AP1? I’m on AP1 and it usually starts a little left but after a minute moves dead centre and stays that way. Just sharing for a balanced view.

Model S Questions (Urgent as I was going to buy tomorrow)

The car will tell you if it’s a 60 or 75. It’s clear on the menu screen. If autopilot is an option on the menu screen then it’s software enabled. No you won’t be able to see any service history on the menus. So have a good luck around the brakes. They can seize easily but it’s not much to...

    Jack-pads - worth buying

I bought some from eBay for when taking off wheels to clean or for mobile fitters coming out to fit tyres etc. I figured RAC/AA might not have them too so wanted some for the car. So £20 we’ll spend. For trips abroad I’ll probably take a jack too and a can of foam for temporary inflation.

    Long commute test

Most advice will be that charging to 90% will be fine and running down low every few weeks will also be fine. Truth is we don’t know the 10-20 year effects so don’t worry about it, especially if you have an SC en route. Just take a book or a loo break.

Is Supercharging for road trips enough?

So far in 3 months ownership I’ve only used PodPoint outside of the supercharger network but I do have Polar Instant, Charge Your Car and ChargeMap apps installed plus the card for ChargeMap as it’s popular in Europe apparently. I’m planning a trip to Belgium in August so I figured it’s better...

    Model S future pricing

I wouldn’t be surprised to see downward movement on used s prices when the 3 comes out as current owners try to offload privately as their pre order model 3 is available. But that will mainly be early model S cars that were bought second hand rather than facelift models. That’s my 2p.

    Newbie navigation question

As above. It’s a good system. Would be better if you could add waypoints and if it gave you a few options for your route. But it’s still an excellent system. You can also use google maps or IOS maps on your phone and select Share and the Tesla app to send your destination to the Tesla sat nav so...

Looking at the used market for a Tesla Model S

I bought my MS privately a few months ago, I had a similar budget. In terms of your logic: 1 - I agree. I didn't want huge mileage but wasn't put off by circa 50k which is probbaly average for a 4 year old car. 2 - Feedback I had from a Tesla shop was the 75D has more range than an 85S. The D...

AeroBon Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler for Model S

Looks good IMO. I’ve thinking about one for my red MS. Presume install is just with number plate tape or similar? Does it look flush close up?
