BMW I3 with Range extender
We have owned three i3 over the past 9 years, the first 2 were pure BEVs, and the last one a REX. We've had zero trouble with the two BEVs, but the REX has more frequent service requirements, plus we currently have an "engine check light" instance with the 2019 REX. Are the key cards for Model 3 waterproof?
Asking because I would like to be able to take the key with me when going surfing without damaging it. I just saw a video on youtube showing that the keycard is just a chip with a wire loop encased in plastic, so in theory, it should be. And how do you avoid mechanically bending the card? -
