early wasteful battery preconditioning

On my trip this weekend, my car wanted to precondition and continue battery heating even during a charging session, despite extremely hot temps. I was driving (quickly) for about three hours straight and pulled into a Supercharger. Ambient temp was 85F. The last 5 minutes it was preconditioning...

Since I've been driving my Model Y, I've noticed it's preconditioning for supercharger behavior is much different than my experience in my previous model 3. I couldn't find any similar threads on this here or or google so I wanted to see if other people have the same experience with their Model...

Anybody seeing super premature preconditioning? Typically precondition happens before 10/5 minutes of arrival of Supercharger. Recently I've seen it start to precondition -- on and off! -- at around 60 minutes / 60km away from Superchargers. All occurences were with battery already warmed...
