1 Billion Autopilot Miles - next billion in under 12 months?

Tesla owners have driven 1 billion miles with Autopilot activated

Looking at the numbers in the article, 10% of miles driven to date have been on autopilot (including miles from cars delivered prior to autopilot and cars without autopilot enabled). The article says Tesla drivers are adding 20 million miles a day. If the autopilot miles rate creeps up to 15% the next billion will be added in less than a year, Seventeen months if it stays at 10%. That is an amazing amount of data to work with on in continuing the development of self driving features. Competitors in the self driving field get only a fraction of the data, and then mostly from their pilot program areas in California, Arizona and other limited test areas. Tesla data is spread throughout the world and includes all kinds of poorly mapped fringe areas other companies may not even know exist. (I know I've already taken my Tesla to a few places not on Google maps or appearing only as "unnamed road".)
