Driving west from Kingman Thursday morning we saw 11 full car carriers heading east during the 200 mile, less than 3 hour drive.
Interestingly, they were about an even mix of 8 and 9 car loads: all had 4 Model 3s on the lower racks, while they were roughly split between 5 Model 3s and a combination of 4 Model S and X on the top racks. That's about 79% Model 3 and 21% S and X.
I don't think that it's a length problem fitting 5 S or X on top; rather the overall weight limit of 80,000 lbs for the transporter and cargo.
Friday morning coming back west we passed a pair of transporters just outside Barstow (one eight and the other nine).
Hope this data point helps folks trying to read the tea leaves for 2Q2019 production and delivery.
