The cost for repairs affect the resale value of the car.. the same thing happens for older BMW's and Mercedes (also the reason why Toyotas seem to hold their value - low chance of repairs, and parts easily available at reasonable cost)...
So, a new battery would be 18k, new air suspension is about 4k, new infotainment is 2k, brakes are 2k...
That's why it's only worth about 14k even though when it drives well, it's essentially the same as a 60k newer Model S
