Hello!

We truly love our Model S, but we haven't used it much in the past few years and are thinking about downsizing. We just had the battery tested (it passed with flying colors) and there is still plenty of extended warranty coverage left for further reassurance.

I am the third owner and know the car's history quite well. It was originally leased in November 2014 to somebody in Orange County. After the lease, the car went through the CPO refurbishment process (back when Tesla did that). Multiple parts were replaced, including the motor, to bring the car to a better than new condition. Then it was purchased by a fellow TMC member in San Jose. After a year, he had to leave the country and sold me the car through this marketplace.

I have been the owner since 2018, most of the life of the car, and never had any problems with it. The main repairs were replacing the trunk actuator and two door handles, all common issues. The right headlight was also replaced by Tesla after showing some condensation. The MCU was upgraded to 2.0, and the charging system was recently upgraded to be CCS compatible. An unopened, never-used CCS adapter is included.

Tesla service damaged the headliner and back seat, and both were replaced. After Tesla replaced the back seat, I bought custom vegan leather seat covers to preserve its new condition.

The currently installed nose cone is a backup one, which I bought used to have it wrapped. The original nose cone, in perfect original condition, comes included and ready to be installed if you prefer the OEM look.

We have not been traveling as much since 2020, and the car has been mostly a garage queen, driven about 5K miles a year on average. The battery was professionally tested in depth last February as part of a larger study on battery degradation, and shows to be in very good shape for a ten-year-old car. I can share the full results.

And of course, being a 2014, the car comes with lifetime free Supercharging, lifetime free Premium Connectivity, and Autopilot v1.

The asking price is $21,500, which is within the KBB range for a private party sale, without taking into account all the upgrades and warranty. The figure is rather firm since we are in no rush to sell. I could potentially cancel the extended warranty and deduct that amount from the price, I would have to contact XCelerate for the exact number. Additionally, the car comes with many extras. I could also consider adjusting the price for somebody who might not need them.

We are open to trading for a smaller EV with decent range, like a Bolt, Kona or i3.
