yeah, OEM fitment with the tires has the inside lip of the rim exposed and in this carwash apparently the inside track was not protected.

It's a known issue with Teslas. The inside lip AND outside lip are exposed. They do this on purpose to minimum tire friction (minimize patch contact) and air drag.
