21” Uberturbines for sale (or switch with 19” Geminis)

Picking up my new Model Y PuP on Tuesday and the first thing I plan to do is to downgrade my 21” Uberturbines to 19” Geminis. Anyone in the Los Angeles area who either wants to switch - or buy the 21” Uberturbines (wheels, tires and sensors) for $3,000?

Exactly. Apparently with 19" I can get 315 miles vs. 280 miles with my 21"

Not yet. also - my Model Y has been in shop for almost 2 weeks (paint issues from delivery). I get it back on Tuesday.

How new are your Gemini’s? Any damage? My Uberturbines have under 150 miles under the belt.

Keep in mind they upped the 21’s to 291 mile range (from original 280 estimate), I think the difference isn’t as bad as they were estimating.

Thanks. I just read on a FB Model Y group that they believe it is because the new 21” Uberturbines come with a different tire (rubber) that makes the difference. I had hoped it would have been an optimization of the motor over-the-air.

So different tires vs the ones a few weeks ago? The 21’s don’t last that long so you could keep the good looks and opt for some lower rolling resistance times when replacing.

I have also considered replacing them with some 19” Falcon from T Sportline.

I bought a pair of Uberturbines on eBay for $2k then just put Michelin’s on them for about $1600. Selling the Geminis on eBay right now. Ends in about an hour.

I'm in SD willing to switch my Geminis just got delivery 2 weeks ago. Nothing wrong with them.
