Quick update, since I’m still on the road on my crazy quest to visit as many US national park units as possible without using fossil fuel vehicles. I’m encouraging folks to follow my daily updates on my ad free blog. The Climate Crisis is real, and we have to change the way we travel.
Earlier this month I took The White House tour (see photo), which completes my set of eight presidential memorials, four war memorials, one civilian memorial, six historic sites, and four other parks.
I highly encourage visitors to go through the reservation rigmarole to tour the inside of the White House, if you haven’t done that yet. It’s worth it!
That brings my total to all 23 DC park units (exclusively, not including the park units that cross into neighboring states). The full list is >here<. Each entry has a photo, and a penny or two of thoughts.
