Auto seat heaters vs range ?

I am in SoCal. Cold is 40F in the morning. When heat is set to 70F does it take less energy using the auto seat heater setting?

Way less the seat heater runs off the 12V battery.

i cant remember but it was something like 60W Lv1, 120W lv 2, 160W level 3. I think...

Don't forget you can precondition your car before you leave while it's still plugged in. If I know I"m leaving at a certain time in the morning I set my desired cabin temp and trigger the Schedule to have the vehicle preconditioned for that departure time and its nice and toasty when I get in. I no longer need any more heat other than maybe the seat heater to maintain comfort. AFAIK it does all this using the power from your wall charger.

no it will use more energy than if you had seat heat off.
And Yes it will use more energy than if you had the seat heat on.

Automatic seat heater will turn on the seat while warming the cabin up to temp and then taper off to zero.
