Autopilot stopping was much better in 2022.8.3 than the 2022.12 or 2022.16

I have a 2022 M3LR.

If I was following someone on residential streets autopilot 2022.8.3 would generally stop very nicely (although still leaving a larger gap than I would even on my closest follow distance). However since getting 2022.12.3 the car seems so less confident when the car in front of me is coming to a stop. It is slowing down way too hard and way too early. I honestly worry I could get rear ended some times because a human driver would never decelerate so suddenly and quickly when the car in front slows. And this is when AP is following at less than the speed setting, so it is already adjusting for distance. It is not like it doesn't know the car is there.

I hoped the next update would improve it, but I just got 2022.16.1.1 and it is the same. Still much worse than 2022.8.3.

Anyone else having this experience?

I'd happily have my old highway speed limit of 80MPH instead of 85, to get back my better AP experience on regular roads.
