Battery Heating icon in Tesla App

Hi all,

First of all, apologies if I'm not posting in the right area here. It's my first post and I couldn't find an app specific sub forum.

This morning, I found a new icon displayed in the upper right corner of the climate screen on my iOS Tesla app (see image attached). I assume it means that the battery pack is being heated, but does anybody know?

Any hints appreciated - thanks in advance!

Yes. It is. I see it on my Tesla Android app also.

Any ideea how much power this consumes if not plugged in and when it appears as I can't control this apparently?

6 kW (maximum), as far as I know.

Previously, the battery heater was disabled while preheating when range mode was enabled, but this changed in a recent software update.
