Black plastic number plate mount size?

Hi folks

Does someone have a width and height on these (as accurately as possible, preferably with verniers if at all possible)?

I'm referring to the black plastic piece that the number plates screw into.

And I'll jump in to ask an associated question - are these mounting plates available as spares? The sad thing is that they're not a hard plastic, and I accidentally buggered the thread in one of the holes when I mounted my replacement plates (another story).

Otherwise, Bennny, I've offer to take my licence plates off to measure the mounting plates, but each time I do that I risk not getting the screw securely back in.
