Finally got my new M3, the love affair is ON.... However I live in the SF Bay Area hills where my AT&T service is spotty at best, so my questions are as such:
  • Which M3 functions are connected to my M3 via Bluetoooth ?
  • Which M3 functions are connected via internet...i.e (Summon) ?
  • Does Homelink work via Internet ?
  • Is it me or is the M3 Ops Manual really hard to gather the info you need,?
Thanx , I Really enjoy the post here..!

  • Which M3 functions are connected to my M3 via Bluetooth ?
    • Standard paired phone audio/phone services
    • Phone as a key
  • Which M3 functions are connected via internet...i.e (Summon) ?
    • Downloading software
    • Any function of the phone app, except summon and unlock.
  • Does Homelink work via Internet ?
    • Nope, uses GPS and the same signal as your garage door opener
  • Is it me or is the M3 Ops Manual really hard to gather the info you need,?
    • I think that it is actually pretty good, but as with many things, if you aren't familiar with the subject, it seems to be harder.
Summon, as currently implemented, very explicitly requires you to be in close view of the car and essentially right next to it.
