Carbon Fiber Spoiler

Just got my replacement Ikon matte carbon spoiler in. Haven’t mounted it yet. But here are a few pics.
Awesome!

Watch my video if you wanted to see how I installed me IKON spoiler.

Your tape pattern looks different than the one I had on my IKON spoiler (your rear-facing tape looks like it's multiple pieces) so when doing the final placement I'd suggest peeling each of those pieces back about two inches, otherwise you won't be able to start the peel when you put it on the car.

Does anyone know whether either spoiler mentioned here or on the market in general can be removed pain/hassle free after application?
I haven't tried first hand, but I imagine that a top-mounted spoiler would be easier to remove using heat/fishing wire that it would removing a blade type spoiler (a blade spoiler that isn't peeling off by itself, that is).

I imagine it would take some work and chemicals getting all the tape off, though.

Mounted. Pics posted.

For the price it’s not bad. But I give the fit only about 7 out of 10.

There is a raised lip on the under side of the spoiler. In my opinion this lip should follow the contour of the rear trunk but it doesn’t. If you line the lip up so that it conforms in the center of the trunk, the outsides of the spoiler starts to misalign, and vice versa.

I know I’m not explaining properly so it’s hard to understand.

But again, for the price ($150), beggars can’t be choosers.

And that's the matte IKON?

When I installed mine, the "sweet spot" felt like it was about an inch to the left of center. But I obviously centered it. I don't have any raised lip that you are describing. I doubt the difference in finish would have anything to do with it.

RPM just put out their non-carbon fiber spoiler options. ABS plastic wrapped in 3M vinyl. They've had shipping issues before, as in taking very long to ship, so not sure if those are fixed yet. Looks like they are around $200.

FWIW, I ordered the Carbon Fiber Performance Spoiler (Matte) from RPM on 5/8/19 and it has yet to ship. I've emailed them every month since then for an update, and they always say something to the effect of 'we hope it will ship by the end of the month.' Maybe that's why they're offering a plastic one now.
