Carpet floor mats M3 2020 Fremont vs 2022 MIC

Hi

I own a 2022 model 3 long range that came with the standard carpet floor mats. These are quite bad and thin and can’t stand them.

I just had my first SC appointment where they gave me a 2020 Fremont M3P. This car comes with amazing floor carpets: very nice pile, lots of grip, they are thick and don’t move around like mine.

I assume at some point they switched from a USA to a Chinese floor mat manufacturer. Does anyone know how to get the better quality mats though?

I didn't see much difference between my 2019 freemont built cars mats and the new 2022 Shanghai mats. Both sit in the garage while I use the all weather mats that actually keep the car clean.
