Ceramic coating on an already hydrophobic paint protection film

STEK, Suntek Ultra/LLumar Platinum and perhaps other paint protection films ship with a hydrophobic coating "baked-in".

Do ceramic coatings work on these films? That is, does the hydrophobic coating repel installation of the coating itself, or reduce its durability?

You might ask, "why apply a hydrophobic ceramic film when the film itself is hydrophobic?". Good question -- the answer is that ceramic film (and other products) also offer UV protection, which theoretically extends the life of the enormously expensive film.

Yes, my model 3 has a ceramic coating over Suntek Ultra front PPF. Shouldn't be an issue.

I used Cquartz 3.0 UK on mine. I think their may be coatings tailored specifically to PPF though.
