Ceramic Spray

Waiting for the delivery of my model 3. Was going to get Hydrosilex (ceramic spray) to clean and put a coating on it. Should I clean the car and put the coating on it as soon as I get it? Or does it come from the factory with some type of coating and I should just wait until it gets dirty to clean it and put the spray on? Thanks for your help!

The car can get contaminated during transportation and parking before the delivery. A full wash + clay is highly recommended before you putting any kind of coating on. However I have used hydrosilex before, while easy to apply, I don’t think it will last longer than 2-3 washes. It feels more like a detail spray except you’ll have to wait and buff. You’d better use a proper ceramic coating, it’s not that much harder to apply than ceramic spray.
