Clanging from passenger rear tire area

Thought the jalopy next to me was dragging something as we approached a stop. After he turned and the noise stayed I figured out it was from my car. It seems to be a clanging sound from rear wheel area on passenger side. Don't see anything loose. Guess it's a trip to the SC. ANY IDEAS?

Its possible the TPMS came apart inside the wheel housing. BMW TPMS Install 3 Series

In my case, a TPMS had detached inside the tire. If the noise disappears after reaching 30-40 MPH and reappears when you slow down, it's likely the problem: the TMPS sticks to the tire by centrifugal force at higher speeds and starts back to fall on the mag when going back slow speed.

Brought it in said it was a stone caught inside the rotor assembly. Not sure how that happens, but no more clanging.
