Cleaning black wheel arch trim

The wheel trim on my new X seems to be becoming discolored, turning a bit whiteish. Has anyone had this experience and have any ideas about the best way to clean them? I’m assuming they are not defective, but wonder.

That's most likely the color fading on your trim rather than residue. Try a trim restorer, like TriNova Plastic & Trim Restorer, Mother's Back to Black, or McGuire's Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer.

The 'white' could also be wax residue, is it uniform or does it look swipes closer to the paint?
