Wasnt me, it was the man I bought from from months ago. He said he paid for it but really what he paid for was a 4 year warranty. He didnt now much about the car at all he had like 6 cars

Yes, it would.

But nobody has ever seen or heard of a P85D being 'upgraded' to Insane mode for $10k before.. when all P85Ds came with Insane mode. My December 2014 P85D has Insane mode as standard, just like every P85D. Maybe you have a P90D and paid the $10k to upgrade to Ludicrous mode. Maybe they installed the Ludicrous hardware, didn't update the software flags to enable Ludicrous mode on the touchscreen.

If you have a receipt showing otherwise, please share it. That should solve the mystery.

No such thing as Insane Plus. There is Ludicrous Plus (free update already deployed) for P100D only.

Also, the most one could pay for a 'warranty upgrade' in 2015 was $4000.

Unless it also included 8 years of annual service, which was about another $4000.

Insane Mode was standard in the P85D and Ludicrous Mode was an optional package that would change the display to "Ludicrous" rather than "Insane". No P85D ever had "Standard" driving mode... base P85D was "Sport" or "Insane" options only.
