Cut on Steering Wheel Cover

After 3 weeks of ownership found a cut on the steering wheel cover. Anyone with the same experience? Warranty? Thanks

Ouch, that looks rough. They have to replace the steering wheel to fix that, it won't be covered under warranty unless you can prove it came that way. Time to look at 3rd party options (e.g. - carbon fiber) or covers, sorry.

What do you think about the possibility to prove that the cut is due to some kind of defective material?

By zooming in it seems that the cut started right there near the red arrow

I have the same exact cut on my model Y that I took delivery 2 weeks ago. I am not sure if it came with the cut but I just noticed it this morning. It is located round 6-7 o'clock of steering wheel. Were you able to get yours replaced under warranty?

sounds like whomever is doing the unboxing of these at the factory has a sharp blade and is not paying attention. Hard to prove.
