Damaged Elon Signature HPWC 80amp burned terminal $200.00

Elon signature charger. Matte Black Signature faceplate. 24ft cable.
Internal damage. Sold as is.
Has burned inside terminal and stopped working.
Everything included as new.
I still have the original box/hardware/mounting plate/screws etc.
$200 obo plus $60.00 shipping
No idea if there is a market for damaged chargers. Im sure there is someone out there who can
fix for a few bucks and save you some money.

There is a company out there I found called circuit board medics.
They state they can fix tesla chargers for $199.99 flat fee. Might be a option for someone.

I had the same thing happen to mine after 13 months, and threw it away.
I later heard that they have a 2-year warranty.

2 years you can find the information in your owners Manual that came with the charger

4-years according to the web site. But this failure likely wouldn't be a warranty covered failure because there is a 99.9999% chance the problem was that the wire wasn't properly prepared/inserted and/or that the terminal wasn't properly tightened.

I went through that with my electrician.
He made a point of going over the entire installation, looking for a bad cable (2-gauge cable with a nic in it, badly stripped, etc) but could not find anything wrong.
I know it's too late now, but I really wish we had reached out to Tesla for a replacment.

I have fixed a bunch of these and it's an easy fix but only if you have the right parts and know what your doing.
