What happens if Tesla fails to keep their promise to deliver M3s before end of December? Is Tesla going to credit $3750 which you lose from fed credit if vehicle is not delivered by 31st?

If what happened in Ontario is any indication, Tesla will offer refunds for anyone that wants to cancel their reservations if they can't get the full credit. I doubt they will discount the price.

Actually I speak from experience, stemming from the issues with my cars.

As for you mentioning the threads, Tesla is slow but at least dependable. Tax credits aren't immediately discounted anyway.

Let's hope it holds... they were good with my Roadster (the original kind) but the volume of customers is orders greater now..

I guess it will depend on how many cars will be concerned. I doubt they will discount the price if several thousands car won't be delivered before December 31st. However if it's few hundreds, they might offer a discount to move inventory and avoid the hassle.

In any case, you should get ready to take delivery on December 31st until shortly before midnight (or even 3AM if you are on the East coast). Don't make any plan for that evening
