An electrician did this? Looks more like a handyman, and my handyman would have done a better job.
It looks like armored flex was used, with wires pulled through it because MC cable is not made with 3 red wires. Thing that bothers me the most is that it appears that the correct connector to connect the armourd flex to the box was not used.
Could you post a picture that shows a fuller view of the armored cable where it connects to the box?

I’m not an electrician, but my father was, and every electrician I know is meticulous in their work. Your install isn’t. As someone else commented, it might be adequate, but you probably want better than adequate on this.
