I have just taken delivery of my new model Y, following 3 years with a model 3. There is an ecall icon in the model Y permanently at the top of the display, but no ecall button above the interior mirror. when I press the ecall icon it takes me to the safety page to call SOS if needed.
Is this simply repositioning the ecall activation from a physical button in the 3 to a screen icon in the Y, or is there another reason why the ecall icon is permanently displayed. I can’t find any explanation either here or via a google search. any advice please?
