Was advised that the UK have a number of P3- in stock, at the same price as the LR AWD. No more available once the current stock is sold

It was available on the UK configurator in June this year and then subsequently withdrawn. I believe that Tesla UK might have some stock P3- cars, but I don't think they are otherwise available to order. Check with a showroom

In terms of tyres, my P3- (without the performance upgrade pack) has Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres (not the Pilot Sport 4S which comes with the Performance Upgrade pack). This may be only a UK thing, but my Pilot Sport 4 tyres on 18" aero wheels are rated 98Y, which means good for up to 186mph.

Mine was delivered the same as yours. What you need is to call Tesla and get them to install the performance software in your car. This can be done over the air.

I am surprised that the difference between AWD and P is just 10kw. I would have thought you needed more than this to get the 0-60 time down from 4.4 to 3.2 seconds. Same argument applies to the Wikipedia page listed power outputs.

Are you sure the display shows Dual Motor with the red underline? I just picked up my P- and it just says Dual Motor in the display, but the badging on the boot lid has the red underline. No track mode option. My understanding and the Tesla website states this is only part of the performance upgrade pack.

My understanding is that the P- has the same motors as the P+ but that top speed is software limited to 145 rather than 162. It takes brute horsepower and torque to improve the 0-60 time from 4.4 to 3.2 secs, not simply a software switch (in my opinion!)
