GMC will add an SUV version of its all-electric GMC Hummer. The company posted a tease video for a reveal scheduled for April 3.
GM officially launched the Hummer EV in October 2020. The first version, the 2022 Hummer EV Edition 1, will start at $112,595, packing three electric motors and 1,000 horsepower. It sold out immediately after its debut.
A silhouette of the SUV version is about what you expect – a slightly refined, fully-enclosed version of the pickup. It’s truer to the form of the original Hummer. The Hummer EV SUV appears to have a third row of seats and a spare tire mounted on the tailgate.
A lower priced version is expected to cost $80,000.
