What difference does it make where you live?
The challenges are:
Your electrical ability
Can you learn from youtube video
Which service do u have? 100 or 200 amp, determines size of breaker, 50 or 100
Where is CB panel, this how many feet of wire you need, mine had to go thru outside wall.
Inside of garage is easy.
I did mine in one hour, by myself. Honest, you cant screw it up, red, black, white, green wire.
When you pull cover off main, you will how easy it is.

Please look up cost of living for Seattle or Bellevue WA compared to almost anywhere else (excluding SF, DC) and come back and ask again lol

Ok that might not have been a great comment but things like tint and ppf installations in this area seem 10-20% higher than a lot of posters seem to get on here.

I used the Tesla "charger". It took me about 5 hours which included a trip to Lowes and running about 35 feet of conduit. It's not hard if you are reasonably handy. Materials were under $250.
