I reattached a rear bumper USS today with superglue and dowels thru the towing hitch hatch.

I could not reach up thru the trailer hitch hatch because the space was too tight. I tried to take the cover off below the bumper cover, but I discovered that the back edge snaps into the bumper cover at multiple places, and I can’t release the snaps. They can be released if the whole rear bumper cover comes off, which I wasn’t about to do.

The USS sensor’s base had partially detached from the bumper cover. I put a wood-stick Q-tip on one stick, put the gel version of cyanoacrylate glue on the swab & rubbed the glue between the base and bumper. I then used another stick to press the USS against the bumper for a few minutes. It seems to be stuck on, certainly looks better from the outside.

If anyone else has this problem, I could make a video of the process.
