Tesla service completed yesterday, I told the technician that the LTE suddenly returned but he agreed that given the circumstances (brand new car with intermittent connection issues) that it's best to replace the sim card. They're also doing a proactive complimentary replacement of the front speaker grill which apparently is known to crack or warp in some (heat) conditions.
