Model S Refresh Failure -car died

Got these error messages and unable to drive.

Low Voltage battery disconnected
Connector on low voltage battery not secured

Had to have tow truck take it to local service center and they still have no idea what the failure is. Replaced battery no change. Now they are thinking harness failure.

Car is 5 months old with 7k miles. Anyone heard of anything like this?

Sounds ridiculous.

Cars can break down even if it's a Tesla.

That's why it's important to have warranty.

Anything could happen:

QA problems.

Connector problems

Electronic problems. We tend to think that electronic components last for years but sometimes not...

Sounds like they have no idea. I would have tested the battery to see if it needed to be replaced so I would know for sure that was the problem.

They replaced the battery but still didn’t work. So now they are breaking down the car apart to analyze the harness.

Has it been wet there? Hitting puddles often? Maybe water found it's way into a loose connection or defect.

FWIW a friend has an ICE VW which has been in the shop for nearly 12 weeks (!) and counting while they try to work out why it has multiple electrical issues - Tesla hasn't got a patent on them!
