Wow I know the feeling ;).

Tesla called this morning and speeded up the delivery to today. Happened almost too fast, going from undecided couple of weeks ago and wanted to evaluate in September whether or not to go for it to have the car in my driveway.

So here is the Northern most Model Y on the planet (at least currently haha ;). Should I call it Winterfell :)!!? My son was almost as happy as myself. This car is amazing to say least.
Congratulations! :) It is beautiful! Enjoy your new electric ride!
I'll have to wait until Sep 10th, apparently!

Indeed Chris! Hey Chris, since you got yours already: did it come with heated steering wheel?! :)
Yes confirmed. One thing I was for sure hoping for as it is much used here in the North.
Has the bioweapon defense mode (hepafilter) aswell, USB stick in the glovebox included etc.

Built quality seems very good during initial inspection. Will see better the coming days.

Super!

I knew about the HEPA filter, but forgot to get confirmation from the Tesla Store about heated steering wheel.
As hard as it is to believe for many, there's lots of mountains here and my Model Y will be in the snow quite a lot. So glad about this! ;)

Hey, I suppose in Iceland it came with winter tires?! If so, may I take advantage of your time again and ask you which tires (if winter) it came with? 19", I suppose?

It'll come with summer tires, here, and I am in the process of getting my winter tires, which I'll have on from Nov 15th till April 15th.

Thank you!!

Sure. I have the 20" induction wheels with Michelin Pilot sport tyres. The winter tyres will be Nokian Hakkipeliitta.
Actually the winters here are very mild in the south and the summer has been one of the warmest on record with 28 degrees yesterday on the east coast. Not sure if that is really a good thing :/

Oh i see! So it comes with summer tires there too! I assumed Tesla would sell new cars with Winter tires there, so I was curious to see what it would come with.
Hakkipeliitta don't seem to be easily available here.
I'll probably get Continental winter tires, simply because they have great reviews. They are not as great in snow, though.

I was in your beautiful country in Summer 2003. I still remember it as one of the most fascinating trips of my life. :)
We rented an old Galloper. Different times. :D

I believe the Nokian are specifically engineered for the Nordics.

2003 wow. Indeed different times. Lot of things have changed since then. We had couple hundred thousand tourists coming to Iceland yearly back then. It exploded after the great crisis of 2008 to 2 million pre Covid becoming one of the largest export industry in the country.

So, I can find Nokians here, but not the Hakkipeliitta product line. Or, more correctly, they are listed in most on-line stores, but unavailable in all of them, so far. Many have recommended them, so I did search. I should probably ask in person, somewhere. Weird.

Everyone here seem to like the Continental Conti-WinterContact TS 850s for SUVs. I have some Toyo winter tires on my current SUV (Mazda CX-5). They were OK, and lasted long, I have to say. But, Tesla's are in a league of their own in terms of torque, so, I am trying to gather opinions around, before I spend € 900 on a Winter tire set.

Back on topic, I got (unofficial but 100% reliable ;) ) confirmation my Model Y is on the Lake Geneva. It should be in Zeebrugge on Sep 2nd, and in Rome on Sep 10th. I expect to take delivery a couple of days later, if all goes well. We'll see. :)

2 million?! I am glad if that helped the economic recovery after the 2008 crisis though!

... and here it is, @ChrisE :)
Last Friday. Delivery was smooth and easy. As a matter of fact I was in a hurry and did not allow the delivery specialist to spend as much time as he wanted with us. But, I knew Teslas already, so... ;)

Thanks for checking in! I hope you're enjoying yours! :)
It´s a beauty :) Congratulations.

Now sit back and enjoy.

This vehicle is absolutely amazing and well above expectations. One of the most sold car now in september here in Iceland with close to 200 already delivered... The invasion has started ;)

Thank you Chris! Yes, I am completely in awe at how cool the car is.
When I picked up mine there were at least 10 more Ys ready to be delivered. :) Looks like it'll be a great success in Italy too.
