Electric Auto Association Silicon Valley is pleased to announce the 41st Annual EV Rally + National Plug In Day Cupertino!

This is going to be a LARGE event featuring hundreds of EVs, their proud owners and an amazing group of supporters showing Electric Vechicles are here to stay.

Let's try to make history with the largest number of Teslas in Cupertino, CA! There are already 19 Model S and a handful of Roadsters registered to attend -- but 50+ Nissan Leafs have already registered. We need to show the world what it's like to own & drive the best car on the planet. I'd love to see more Tesla cars than any other at these EVents. So I'm asking EVeryone to get those beautiful Teslas washed and let's all show off the best cars on the planet! Can you help by attending?

Hope to see you on National Plug In Day -- Kim (proud owner of a grey Model S)

ATTENDEES are encouraged (but not required) to pre-register here: National Plug In Day - Bay Area. The registration process site features a counter showing the variety and quantity of EVs registered to attend. Check back as we approach and blast through 200 in the next few days! WHAT: September 28 is National Plug In Day (NPID). There’s no better way to celebrate than by attending the 41st Annual Silicon Valley Electric Vehicle (EV) Rally & Show from 10 am to 4 pm, hosted by the Silicon Valley Chapter of the Electric Auto Association (EAA). This will be the largest gathering of EV drivers and enthusiasts at one location. There will be an unmatched variety of plug-in cars, motorcycles, scooters, and bikes highlighting the fun, clean-air benefits, and cost-savings of EVs. Come see why EVs are among the best vehicles on the road – both in terms of driving experience and low maintenance.

• See why EVs are going mainstream. Electric vehicles are selling better “out the gate” than did the first hybrids. Well over 100,000 plug-in vehicles have been sold, and the rate is accelerating as more cars come to the market.
• Talk to plug-in vehicle owners to get the real story about the benefits of plug-ins and solar energy from people who use these technologies each day – including new production models, classic models, unique EVs converted from gas to electric power, electric bikes, motorcycles, and scooters.
• Ride along with an EV Owner. Owners will be demonstrating the virtues of their plug-in cars while offering rides in their personal cars. Experience, first hand, the fun, quiet drive of EVs.
• See the largest variety of new production plug-in vehicles ever. Including plug-in vehicles from 17 different auto manufacturers. Be one of the first to see the all-electric BMW i3 – one of only three i3’s in the country!
• Test Drive plug-in vehicles: Expected vehicles for test drives include Chevy Spark, Chevy Volt, Honda Accord Plug-in, Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model S, Toyota RAV4-EV, and Toyota Prius Plug-in. Test drive electric bikes or scooters.
• Learn how to “fuel” your car at home and “on the go” with the latest EV charging equipment. Learn how the power of the sun can fuel your EV and power your home.
• See the AAA Charging Truck.
• Entertainment: Guest speakers, the Raging Grannies will be on hand to sing about the joys of EVs. Don’t miss the Electric Bath Tub Racing sponsored by ChargePoint.
• Win exciting prizes: Prizes will be raffled off throughout the day.
• Visit with non-profit and government organizations to learn about how EVs keep the air healthy and clean.
• Enjoy food, drink, and our DJ spinning tunes while you explore the world of EVs.

Cupertino/Silicon Valley’s event is one of more than 75 across the country where electric vehicle owners and interested citizens from Maui to New York will participate in celebrations of plug-in vehicles.
