New Tires

We have a 2023 Model Y with 20" induction wheelsand because of a growing tear in side of our Goodyear tire, we decided to put on the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season tire (255/40/20). The auto shop, with whom we've worked for years, put the pressure at about 44-45 psi. I know that's not the pressure recommended by Tesla. The shop said it was Michelin's recommendation. Any thoughts? --Mary

OK to run at 44-45 psi. Well under the maximum psi rating for that tire.

In fact, Michelin instructs users to overinflate when running the tire at high speeds:

(Not relevant to a MYLR since top speed is limited to 135 mph but nonetheless tends to show that slight overinflation is safe.)
