Last year, my 2023 Model S Plaid was totaled when I was rear-ended. Presumably, because the electrical system was shorted out, the vehicle lost power and I was unable to open the glove box to retrieve the USB memory stick containing the video of the accident because the computer could not be brought up.
I called Tesla roadside assistance, who could offer no help. The agents only read the manual to you, and it says nothing about how to access the glove box in the event of no 12V power.
I discovered how to open the glove box quite easily, but I don't want to reveal it here publicly in order to prevent theft, lest someone want to circumvent a locked glove box on a car that they do not own.
